All In On Green ApS is a young Danish company with only one goal: contribute to the fight against ocean plastic. Therefore, we invented SeaProtectorOne – an intelligent robotic arm that captures floating plastic and other waste in rivers and streams before it reaches the oceans and does any harm.
Via a mechanical arm with a filter unit, SeaProtectorOne captures the waste and transports it safely to a container on land. The fully automated system can assess and act on changing water and weather conditions, empty its filter and move its arm out of the way to allow water traffic to pass by. All that the system requires is for the equipment to be inspected and the container on land to be emptied when it is full. The system is safe for fish and fauna and is developed in cooperation with professors from the University of Aarhus.
The first installation was done in the city of Aarhus in Denmark in February 2021 and since then, it has captured more waste than anyone expected, helping change the city’s perspective on preventing and handling floating waste and clean the stream before it enters the harbor and from there, the oceans.
