My name is Bjørn Skovlund Rydén and I'm a somewhat newcomer to Spain,
having moved here in 2019 - following love and family. We live outside Toledo,
in Torrijos, where I'm currently trying to improve my spanish and learn the
fabled ways of Don Quixote, while dealing with a baby and a 3 year-old.
Professionally, I have more than 20 years of experience in various aspects
of IT, currently consulting as network and systems engineer. I have primarily
worked in start-ups, most of which have had a decent success, such as Cybercity
(now Telenor), Fullrate (now TDC subsidiary), Recordsure (Fintech) and lately
helping kick off Fastspeed as a new ISP in Denmark. My roles have varied from
engineering to management and back to engineering, where I've located my lost
love for the geeky aspects businesses. Having a strong growth mindset and loving
to explore new technologies, I've moved my technical focus from networking
towards systems and lately building more skills towards programming and data
science.
My dream is to expand my Autónomo to a proper company, leveraging my
extended business network in London and Copenhagen to build a small, but solid,
consultancy business, based out of the area of where we live, providing a
positive working environment for the local IT talents.
