During the last 8 years FLSmidth in
Spain has undergone a transformation, from being a mainly Project and
Manufacturing Organisation to a strong Customer Service Organisation.
The change, headed up by present
Country Head, John Jespersen, has been driven by the market situation, adapting
the organisation, products and services to the current needs of our local clients
whilst acting as a common entrance point to all the FLSmidth products and
services not fiscally represented in Spain.
Today, 3 divisions are represented
in Spain, the first being Customer
Service Division (CSD) supplying Spare parts, retrofits/rebuilds and
maintenance services to the Cement and Minerals industries, Automation, supplying control systems
and related services also to the Cement and Minerals industries and finally Airtech, supplying new air pollution
control systems as well as upgrades and maintenance on existing systems for a
wide range of industries, apart from Cement and Minerals also including Power
Plants and Pulp & Paper.
